Based on its philosophy, Planar’s Health and Work Safety Policy has four basic principles that seek to guarantee conditions for its collaborators’ development and well being in the work environment.
I – Total commitment from the Board of Directors in all the aspects related to health and safety.
II – Provide safe work conditions with the objective of preventing accidents and occupational illnesses. Planning and executing activities and efficient management coordinated with health and safety, conjugated with the effort by all the Collaborators, guarantee continuous improvement in the work environment.
III – The key-men in health and safety: Project Manager, Safety Engineer, Labor Doctor and Foreman.
The Project Manager in his function guarantees the fulfillment of health and safety policy guidelines and the firm demand of necessary specifications and behaviors;
The Safety Engineer and the Labor Doctor, responsible for guaranteeing an environment free of unsafe actions and situations, accident risks, occupational illnesses and fulfillment of the legislation and policy, besides spreading this knowledge to all;
The Foreman, due to being in direct contact with his collaborators and being able to mobilize the project resources to prevent accidents and occupational illnesses.
IV – Integration between production, health, safety and environment
During the production process, it is necessary that the safety, health and environmental preservation guidelines be guaranteed. Each collaborator should be aware and feel co-responsible for the safety actions in guaranteeing their health and that of all the other collaborators.
